Oman Observer. One of the daily newspapers. News is strictly controlled by the Minister of Information and rarely does bad news about Oman make it into the paper. In fact, the front page is often a tour of the Sultan's recent achievements, mainly greetings exchanged with fellow statesmen. However, there is good coverage of international events and news from Palestine that doesn't usually make it into the western press.
Oman Forum. A local chat room, strictly controlled, but sometimes they venture into politics, especially Zionism.
Desert Discovery. Sort of a travel agent, they can usually arrange just about anything in Oman.
The Vanguard Daily. One of two widely read news daily's. Usually quite entertaining.
The Guardian. The other daily with a little better website.
Lagos Hash House Harriers. The official site. Leave your morals at the door.
The Butt-Hut. The seedier side of expat life in Nigeria. Gary is a fellow Hasher and a free and easy bachelor in Lagos, Land of Sin.
Bushbuck Safaris Limited. The company to use. An outfitter can make or break a safari and in a sea of paranha's, these guys stand out as honest and reliable.
Zanzibar Travel Network. Many useful links and great pics from Zanzibar.
Zanzibar Dive Center. Very professional and friendly dive shop. The most reputable on the island.
Mtoni Marine Center. Beautiful and quiet resort just outside Stone Town. A great place to hang-out on the beach and the restaurant is world-class.
Swans Rent A Car A cheaper alternative to the big multinationals. However, there are cheaper deals once in South Africa.

South African Cycling Great site for all your cycling needs, including a helpful bulletin board and loads of links.
South African Trails Geared towards hiking. Also full of useful links.
Knysna Cycle Works The best bike store in Knysna. The owner is helpful with trails and local info.
Ashanti Lodge Located in the Gardens area of Cape Town, one of the greatest hostels we've stayed in. Very helpful travel agent as well.
